Technical Assistance and Information Exchange
TAIEX represents a European Neighborhood Policy instrument, which helps countries with regard to the approximation, application and enforcement of EU legislation. The present project was implemented in cooperation with EU Delegation to Georgia.
Within the framework of the project the following three components were carried out:
1. On 6 - 8 July 2009, Dutch, Estonian and Lithuanian experts visited National Bureau of Georgia to study enforcement system of Georgia. Based on the study, experts elaborated recommendations on legislative changes and efficiency.
2. On 15 - 16 April 2010, National Bureau of Enforcement initiated and organized an international conference on "Enforcement Systems of Georgia and Foreign Countries; Problems of Enforcement Proceedings". The purpose of the conference was to share experience on enforcement proceedings and discuss existing deficiencies. The participants of the conference were representatives of National Bureau of Enforcement of Georgia, International Association of Judical Officers, EU Delegation to Georgia and Banking sector. Representatives of other enforcement system related agencies and international experts also attended the conference.
3. On 4 - 7 May 2010, representatives of National Bureau of Enforcement were invited on study visit in Glasgow, Scotland. The purpose of the visit was to get acquainted and share experience with the representatives of the enforcement system of Scotland. Within the frameworks of the visit, the representatives of National Bureau of Enforcement participated in the Council assembly of International Association of Judical Officers. On the assembly, National Bureau of Enforcement became a full member of the International Association of Judical Officers.
