Socially Vulnerable, Retired, War and Defense Veterans, People with Disabilities, Single Parents, Minors and Internally Displaced Persons Will Be Exempted from Administrative Sanctions on one-time basis - The draft law prepared by the Ministry of Justice of Georgia has been approved by the Parliament.
The project will cover about 37 350 cases. According to the law, citizens will be exempted from the sanctions in amount of approximately 23 538 178 GEL. Persons who have committed administrative offenses before January 15, 2019, will be exempted. The law will also list the penalties accrued on the citizens along with the fines.
The amnesty does not apply only to the fines and penalties imposed by the relevant body of local self-government of Tbilisi Municipality until April 10, 2018 for committing administrative offenses under Section 8 of Article 125 and Article 1252 (Violation of Parking Rules on the Territory of the Capital city).
Pursuant to Article 3 (3) of the Law on Exemption from Administrative Penalty, LEPL "National Bureau of Enforcement" shall suspend the execution of cases in respect of such persons after receiving information from the bodies producing the abovementioned databases within a period of three months. During these procedures, a Forced enforcement shall not be carried out against:
Internally displaced persons - 5 861 enforcement cases, in total - 2 607 063 GEL;
Veterans of War and Armed Forces - 1 188 enforcement cases, in total - 662 281.21 GEL;
Persons registered in the unified database of socially unprotected families - 25 887 enforcement cases, in total - 16 909 193 GEL;
Retired people - 2 199 enforcement cases, totaling 1 853 933 GEL;
Persons with disabilities - 2 083 cases, in total - 1 451 459 GEL
Single parents - 132 cases, totaling 54 248 GEL.
