The National Bureau of Enforcement publishes a report of summary proceedings for 2016, which shows that the demand for summary proceedings service is growing every year. At the same time the number of cases completed with reconciliation increases.
During 2016, the summary proceedings service received 19 238 applications for debt collection, of which 1 043 applicants had been denied on the basis of the requirements of the law, and 17 865 cases were transferred to the case managers into proceeding.
11 458 from 17 865 applications received by the case managers into proceeding from January to December 2016, inclusive, were completed with reconciliation, including payment within the voluntary payment period was carried out on 165 cases and 1 667 cases were completed with reconciliation.
Dynamics of applications is increasing and, accordingly, the number of applications received in 2016 is far more compared to the previous years. According to the statistics, the data about the applications received over the past 4 years is as follows:
Ø In 2013 - 4 855 applications were received;
Ø In 2014 - 9 501 applications;
Ø In 2015 - 13 168 applications;
Ø In 2016 - 17 865 applications.
The demand for the service is increasing, as they often make decisions about apportionment of the amount; in addition, the number of cases completed with reconciliation and within voluntary payment period is increasing as a result of summary proceedings. The number of cases completed with reconciliation in 2016 is higher compared to the same period of previous years.
Summary proceedings is a service of the National Bureau of Enforcement, which enables citizens to solve the dispute referring to monetary commitment without any legal procedure quickly and cost-effectively. An applicant may apply to the summery proceedings in case if the respondent (the debtor) has overdue and documented monetary debt. After examining the documents, each case is transferred to a case manager of the summary proceedings service.
