A Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between the National Bureau of Enforcement and the Service Agency of the Ministry of Finance. According to the Memorandum, auctions announced by the National Bureau of Enforcement together with the Service Agency will be placed and conducted in electronic format on the webpage www.eauction.ge
Memorandum will be signed by the Chairman of the National Bureau of Enforcement - Nika Melia, and Head of the Service Agency of the Ministry of Finance - Grirol Baiburt.
National Bureau of Enforcement started using the electronic system of auctions since February 1, 2011. Those wishing to participate in the auction can buy an item on the entire territory of Georgia without leaving their houses and offices. In order to participate in the electronic auction it is obligatory to register at www.eauction.ge. Both private persons and legal entities can register on the webpage. Registration is free of charge. After the registration user has the possibility to receive a debit card for free which will be used for the simplest account settlement. Card can be received through completion of application at www.eauction.ge.
Until now National Bureau of Enforcement conducted auctions in the territorial bureaus according to the location of the liquidated item, while potential buyers were compelled to be present at the regional bureau that had announced the auction and participate in the process onsite.
Besides simplifying participation in the auction for users, transfer to the electronic system will also make the auction process more transparent. Much more users will be able to participate in the auction process which will promote creation of competitive environment.
